Booked a last minute trip because when we got to town, my son really wanted to go. The morning of, Cpt Hayden called and said it would be raining, but he would do whatever we wanted to. We decided to go and the fishing was hard, but Captain Hayden worked tirelessly to get us on fish and by the end of the trip he had my son smiling so big I don't know if it's ever going to go away. Would highly recommend anyone to book with him, you won't regret it even if the weather doesn't cooperate. I can't thank him enough!

We had an amazing day fishing with Captain Hayden. The ocean was a bit tough on us because of recent storms and extreme high tides, but that didn't stop Captain Hayden from putting us on some fish anyways. He used multiple techniques until everone on our trip landed a fish. The best part of the entire trip was how great the captain was with the kids we brought with us. All we've heard from the boys has been, "Captain Hayden was awesome," "When are we going fishing with Captain Hayden again?" So much gratitude for making this so special for them. Thanks for the memories!

Great captain, very personable. He was great with kids as we had a 13-year-old and 11-year-old. He definitely made the experience a lot more enjoyable, as we have had other captains that made the trip hard and unbearable. Hayden is a super nice and great guy, I would definitely book again with him.

Great young energetic captain!

Hayden was fantastic! Started off catching fresh bait and went straight to the first hole where we caught a 4 foot bull shark and a little shark, a white fish and a sting ray. We had ahold of what felt like a school bus which broke the line. Then went to a few other holes. We were here in the off season so didn’t expect to put too many fish in the boat but Hayden was determined to get us something. He was very personable and knew what he was doing.

An Unforgettable Family Fishing Adventure with Captain Hayden!

Had an incredible 4-hour trip with Short Skirts Sportfishing and Captain Hayden! Our group of 3 adults and 3 teens caught many Redfish, a flounder, and even a shark! We also saw a dolphin. Captain Hayden was fantastic—super patient, fun, and great with the kids. His passion for fishing and deep knowledge of the Charleston area really came through. The boat was large, clean and comfortable, and the whole experience was memorable. Highly recommend for families visiting Charleston!

As luck would have it the temp dropped about 20 degrees the night we arrived. The fish didn't care for this at all, but Chris worked hard and put us on a variety of fish. Drum, trout. flounder and a few other species. My daughter and I decided to book another day and try fishing offshore for seabass and vermillion snapper. That was when the action turned red hot. It was non-stop all day until we waved the white flag and couldn't reel in any more fish. We limited out on vermillion as well as had a good catch of seabass and triggerfish, also. My daughter caught her first amberjack, which is quite a thrill. She found out quick why they are nicknamed reef donkeys, LOL. I highly recommend this outfit for inshore and off. I've chartered with a lot of captains through my years and Chris is top notch. We will be fishing with him again soon. The red snapper bite was on fire, too, even though it’s closed and they all went back. Still a great fight.

Booked a last minute trip with Captain Hayden at Short Skirts Sportfishing Charters and what a great decision it was. Our group of 6 fit perfectly on the boat without it being too crowded and with the first 30 minutes Captain Hayden put us on the fish. Caught my first bull red and a few sharks! Captain Chris was great, he put us on fish first thing in the morning and it continued through out the entire trip. The girls were a little sea sick out deep so captain Chris asked if we wanted to move into the jetty area and the girls came to life and we caught more fish. Just an overall fantastic day. Thank you, Captain!

Due to wind speed, we changed up our trip. But they did not disappoint! We all caught fish and had a great time. Hayden was a great guide and got us on some good fish- including a 5-6’ shark caught by our friend. It was a fun day and I would definitely go out with them again if we’re ever back in this area.

We had such a great time on this fishing expedition. We caught a ton of fish, 2-3 at a time sometimes. The captain and first mate knew what they were doing, kept us safe, and were fun! I would recommend them and would do it again if we go back. We also found a restaurant that cooked the fish we caught the following evening. It was a great experience all around!

This was our first offshore fishing experience and we could not have asked for a better trip! Some of our anglers were first time ocean go-ers and a little nervous!! Capt Hayden and First Mate Jameson did an amazing job; keeping everyone comfortable and on task! They got us to, and on, the fish! They were very professional and extremely knowledgeable of the area, the species, and running the lines!! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend them, and Capt Chris, to anyone looking to have a GREAT experience!
